Description
Andalucia Suite consists of six individual compositions. Included are the immortal Malaguena and the equally beautiful Andalucia, known as the The Breeze and I. Both Malaguena and Andalucia are complete in this arrangement, as are Gitanerias and Cordoba. The final two melodies, Guadalquivir and Alhambra, are not nearly as well-known but delight listeners and players alike.
The main strains of Guadalquivir are included in this arrangement, though it has been cut somewhat. However, only a brief portion of Alhambra, admittedly the most difficult part of the Suite, is to be found. An Advanced Violins part has been printed to offer more brilliancce to the arrangement.
This may be used in conjunction with the regular violin parts or may even replace Violin I and Violin II entirely. The exact situation in each orchestra will determine the proper selection of parts for Advanced Violins, Violin I and Violin II.
