Description
Commissioned by New York City Opera, and with a libretto by Mark Campbell, the opera was written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall uprising. This is an opera that captures the rage, grit, humour and, finally, hope of the LGBTQ community's uprising in a Greenwich Village dance club on one hot night in June 1969. Duration: c.1 hour 30 minutes.
