I've often turned to the poetic sonnet form when composing. in this case, I turned it into a work for violin. There is also a version called Pastoral for oboe and piano, and its original song version is entitled: Does He Belong Here? from the cycle "Sonnets to Orpheus" with a text by Rainer Maria Rilke.
