Borisova-Ollas: 4 Pieces for Flute Solo

Description

Four Pieces for Flute solo are just right to venture into new music. They were written upon a request from UE for the volume Flute Project, where five composers were supposed to collaborate with five well-known Flute players. Victoria Borisova-Ollas collaborated with Emmanuel Pahud. He sent a feed-back on the written music, which was very much appreciated. The titles of the Four Pieces are supposed to trigger the imagination of (young) players and their audience. The most often asked-for piece is Elegy: It has a more melodic character than the rest of the works, which are of more virtuoso character.
