Description
A musical finger exercise, written in a train between Zurich and Basel and referring to 'Tinian' from Hölderlin's 'Hesperische Gesänge' on the speculative level of Holliger's chamber music. The first version was written for a double-bass with 5 strings (KBB (8) which is now followed by a version for standard double-bass with 4 strings, also written by the composer himself.
