These sonatinas, originally published in 1792 'pour le Fortepiano ou le Clavecin avec Accompagnement d'une Flutte', & later turned into piano solos, were written by Dussek while he was living in London after fleeing from the French Revolution in Paris. They have remained popular over the years as model instructional pieces in the classical form.
