This work for unaccompanied soprano saxophone was written at the request of British star saxophonist Amy Dickson, who requested several composer friends write short works in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Much like his saxophone concerto Rush, this work is written using materials from Fuchs' 1988 musical The Great Nebula in Orion , though it is filtered through Duke Ellington's Mood Indigo. Fuchs dedicates this work in honor of her COVID-19 Solo Sessions.
