Description
Written in 1946, Honeger's symphony was inspired by the tragic events of World War II, with movement titles evoking the requiem mass. Shostakovich most likely prepared this 2 piano/4 hands arrangement for his own pupils to study at the Leningrad Conservatory. This is the first time this arrangement has appeared in print.
