Description
Interest in Dvořák's writing prompted his publisher Fritz Simrock to request a new work from him, this time shorter and, where possible, again of a "Slavonic" nature. This commission gave rise to his Mazurka in E Minor for violin and piano. The work has become a favorite virtuoso concert piece.
