Description
Tournemire studied organ and improvisation with César Franck and Charles-Marie Widor. During his lifetime he was particularly known as an outstanding improviser. in 1930/31 he recorded five organ improvisations for the Polydor record company, but he repeatedly refused to reconstruct them for publication. This edition presents a completely new transcription that is as faithful as possible to Tournemire's original.
