Description
The Tarantella is a southern Italian dance of historical origin. Monika Mandelartz has selected eight 17th-century dances by Athanasius Kircher, Gaspar Sanz and Cristofaro Caresani in this new edition, adding voices, inserting diminutions, and devising variations. The result are lovely pieces for recorder trio, which in turn simulate the improvisational nature of early music and promote enthusiasm, expression and vivacity.
