Description
One of the most popular of all violin concertos, Tchaikovsky composed this work in 1878 in Clarens, Switzerland, on the shores of lake Geneva where the composer was recovering from a depression brought on by the failure of his disastrous marriage to Antonina Miliukova. This classic edition of the work contains a piano reduction by the composer and a separate solo violin part edited by Carl Flesch.
