Description
Haydn composed six settings of the Mass text for the name day of Princess Maria Josepha Hemengild Esterhazy. The Nelson Mass is the third of these, written between 10 July and 31 August 1798. Scored for soprano, alto, tenor and bass soloists, SATB chorus, organ and orchestra. This is the revised edition by Michael Pilkington. The text is in Latin with an introduction in English.
