Description
Originally written by Debussy for piano four hands, PETITE SUITE has been transcribed many times, with the orchestral arrangement by Henri Büsser being the most well-known. Perhaps due to a request from pianist-publisher Jacques Durand for a work accessible to skilled amateurs, the work is notable for its simplicity in stark contrast with the modernist works that Debussy was writing at the time. This transcription of the Büsser arrangement for small orchestra was completed by Hubert Mouton. Instrumentation: 1.1.2.1: 2.2.0.0: Timp.Perc(2): Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set).
