It was composed in 2019 for organist Bernhard Haas and was premiered by him via livestream at the festival NOW! at the Philharmonie Essen on 8 November 2020. The first public performance took place on 25 June 2022 at the Martinskirche, Kassel, as part of the festival BRANDNEU.
